FamilyNurturing Families

The Parent Resource Centers’ mission is to support parents as nurturers and teachers of their children; to enhance parents’ efforts to support one another; and to build a community of families that work together for all children.

Let's Play and Learn

Children learn through play and through positive interactions with others.

Each day, the centers provide a core group of activities, including blocks and building toys, dramatic play, dress-ups, play-dough, easel painting, puzzles and manipulative toys.  In addition, a creative art activity, which changes each week, is available.

We hope you will explore these activities, letting your child create in his or her own way.  Each center also schedules a daily circle time with songs, stories and games.  We invite you and your child to join us and participate in this happy social and learning experience!

FamilyWe're Here to Support You

We want to be a resource for parents and families. Please feel free to ask the parent educator for information, referrals, or help with problem-solving your particular concerns. If you would like to ask for help and the center is too crowded for you to comfortably do so, let us know so that we can arrange another time to talk. In most centers, the afternoon hours are fairly quiet and more conducive to individual consultations with the parent educator. Also, remember that other parents are a good source of support and advice.
